I feel a sense of deja vu. This is the same bad joke that I lived in VietNam where we were fighting a war against the North Vietnamese, the American news media and the U. S. Congress, all at the same time. Our national popularity/approval seeker, the wussy LBJ sold us down the river while he played the war against the polls.

I can’t even watch the news or read the “news” mags anymore. I really thought Americans were smart enough to see through the media and politicians who use our military to get themselves elected. I was wrong. Now we have the Dems in control of congress and they will stop at nothing to get the presidency back, no matter how many lives it costs us.

Don’t blame the Democrats. Bush is an incompetent whose intellectual laziness allowed him to be led into a foolish policy. If he had listened to a range of opinions before he acted or read a little history of the region, he would have found another approach. His father was a much better President than he is. His only hope is that now Dad’s team can get him (and us) out of this mess.
